WE.Circular: Kick-off Dissemination Events in Varna

On 19 and 20 March 2024 RAPIV hosted Kick-off Dissemination event and 1st Transnational Learning Event under project WE.Circular, which were held in the sea capital of Bulgaria - Varna.

„WE.Circular – Boosting digital and industrial capacity for sustainable circular transition of women entrepreneurs in the Danube Region“ aims to increase digital and business skills of women entrepreneurs for circular transition and to equip the main stakeholders with skills necessary to develop and implement smart specialization strategies, supporting women entrepreneurs from the Danube Region for transition to industry 4.0 while fulfilling circular economy aspects.

Within the framework of the events, partners and other participants had the opportunity to exchange experience on:

✅ recent activities of the Working Group on Women's Entrepreneurship of Priority Area 8 of the EUSDR Competitiveness of Enterprises presented by PAC 8 Coordinators;

✅ Interreg Danube Region Programme - results of the 1st call, application for the 2nd call and implementation of the projects, from the Joint Secretariat of the Danube Region Program;

✅Active EU industrial policy to stimulate growth by the Ministry of Economy and Industry, Bulgaria;

✅different projects and initiatives for support of women entrepreneurship and identifying of circular modules, including the Women Entrepreneurship Centre, Business Programme Smart Lady of First Investment Bank, project TEX-DAN, RE-FEM and Sector Group on Women Entrepreneurship and Sector Group of Women Entrepreneurship within Enterprise Europe Network .

During the afternoon session of the first day were presented the selected good practices from Bulgarian partners (RAPIV and Varna Free University) and Romanian partner - Impact Hub Bucharest.

During the second day, partners discussed the methodologies, which will be applied in the framework of the project for conducting national and transnational analyses of the skills needs and gaps of women entrepreneurs and for the implementation of other activities for reaching the project objectives.
