The participants in the Innovation Contest in Bulgaria competed with proposals for innovative products and services that engage older people through digital means and help them acquire digital skills in order to improve their daily living conditions.

Main priority for Bulgaria is  to promote the social inclusion of  elderly, who are unable to self care and/or have become isolated due to living in remote/rural areas.

 

The five companies and their solutions, selected for D-CARE Innovation Prize in Bulgaria are: 

1. Kelvin Health Inc. (Bulgaria) - Kelvin Health is a widely available non-invasive application for early diagnosis and continuous monitoring of various diseases, with the help of photos taken with thermal cameras and data analysis with artificial intelligence.

2. Water Fuel Engineering Bulgaria  Ltd - HydroVitality -  is an autonomous electrolyzer designed for hydrogen inhalation therapies.

3. SkillDict Zrt, Hungary - SkillToolkit! - e-learning platform, aimed at improving the skills of elderly people 

4. Scitecto 21 Ltd, Bulgaria - AI Care Alerts - systems for smart  video surveillance  and communication, aiming to ensure independent living for elderly people with limited mobility.

5. Simenso Ltd  - Mental cloud  - Programme for stress management and monitoring 

 

The Incentive D-CARE Innovation Finalist Award was given to Selvadek EOOD for their idea for a multifunctional inflatable three-layer mattress that can be adapted to the specific needs of the elderly and people with reduced mobility.

 

The five companies and solutions, selected for D-CARE Innovation Prize will benefit the following types of support:

- D-CARE Innovation Prize recognition;

- Co-creation with the participation of the main stakeholders in the field of smart care in the region and end users; 
- Еxpert assistance for market analysis and research;

- Opportunity to test the offered innovative products and services in real conditions;

- Networking and identifying opportunities for partnerships.
