Masterclass for the participants in the EWA Bulgaria 2021 Program was held on 7th and 8th October in Varna EWA Bulgaria 2021 Masterclass took place on 7th and 8th October at the University of Economics - Varna.EWA Bulgaria 2021 enables 10 motivated women from the agri-food sector to be included in a comprehensive educational program in order to acquire the knowledge and skills needed to tackle certain challenges in the agri-food sector. All 10 participants in the programme presented their business ideas and progress within the programme. The presentations were followed by discussion and consultations with the mentors. The second day of the Master class started with training on presentation and communication skills.
Hristomir Hristov shared with the participants valuable advice and guidance on how to be persuasive in presenting their idea to investors. In the afternoon, succesful examples and opportunities for financing in the agrifood sector were introduced to the participants during the dissemination event "Women in Agrifood - Investment in the Future". The programme started with presentation of EIT FOOD initiatives by Aleksandra Niżyńska, RIS Project Manager, EIT Food CLC North-East. Leona Aslanova, manager of Innovation Starter Box presened the opportunities for participation in Innovation Starter Box Programmes.
A team of the Department of Agrarian Economics presented the Business Environment for the Development of Entrepreneurship in Agrifood sector.
Yuri Zarev, National Agricultural Advisory Service, presented the opportunities for funding under the Operational Programme Rural Development. Dr. Victoria Nikolova, DIC - Varna introduced examples and opportunities for European financing of agro-innovations.
An additional opportunity for financing projects in the priority area of biodiversity - Quarry Life Awards was presented by Ana Hristova, Devnya Cement AD.
Successful ladies in the agro-food sector presented their experience: Desislava Ivanova - Zarneni Hrani Silistra AD; Maria Marinova, Tonka Arbalieva - agricultural producers.
Ralitsa Zhekova, Executive Director of RAPIV presented the EWA Bulgaria 2021 Program and the 10 participants in the program with which the official part of the event ended.
