As part of the INTRA project "Internationalisation of Regional SMEs" implemented under INTERREG EUROPE, the project partners developed Joint Analysis of the Internationalisation of SMEs. The aim of the analysis is to present the level of internationalisation of SMEs in partner regions.

The first part of the document presents summarized information from the regional analyzes of the internationalisation of SMEs. The main barriers and needs of companies for developing international activities were identified  as well as the driving forces that promote this development. Тhe policy instruments and measures that support the internationalisation of business has been evaluated and recommendations to improve the internationalisation environment in partner regions also have been made.

The second part includes an interregional review, assessing the similarities and differences in the main research areas. Solutions that can overcome differences and support the development of internationalisation were proposed. The document outlines some of the main areas where further efforts can be made and specific initiatives to promote internationalisation at regional and national level can be organized.
