The EIT Food Challenge Lab aims to support entrepreneurs in developing ideas for new, innovative products, services, and technological solutions to address the real challenges faced by the agrifood sector.

The hackathon will conclude with presentations of the solutions to a jury, and the best teams will receive awards.

The deadline for submitting applications for individual or team participation is October 10, 2024. The results from the selection will be announced on October 15, 2024, and applicants will be notified by email and phone

Online meetings on topics such as business model canvas and pitching will be held from October 15 to 20, 2024, specifically for the approved participants, to ensure a successful presentation during the EIT Food Challenge Lab 2024 Bulgaria

How does Challenge Lab work?

Identification of the chаllenge  – We work with companies in the agri-food sector to identify a significant and real challenge or problem they are facing.

Interdisciplinary teams – We select the best participants, ensuring the optimal combination of experience and skills in team building. If you apply as a team, you can work together. Each team consists of 2-5 participants.

Solving changellenges – The problem can be approached from different perspectives by people with backgrounds and interests in engineering, economics, food, marketing and logistics.

Expert support – We partner with leading experts in the field to support you in identifying and developing ideas, and with our business experts to help your ideas address a real problem.

Industry connection – Our challenges address the specific needs and problems of companies in the agri-food sector, providing participants with the opportunity to interact with experts and validate the viability of their solution.

Schools and universities – Our efforts are focused on identifying active schools and universities, as well as young and talented innovators. Some of the leading universities in disciplines related to the agrifood sector participate with their young talents. The challenge is an excellent tool for bringing together young talents and large companies.
