On May 23, 2019, from 9:30 to 11.30 am, a Dutch Innovation Café on the theme "Smart Cities - Varna" was held in the Social Teahouse in Varna, organized by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Bulgaria with the support of the Municipality of Varna and with the participation of of Dordrecht Municipality.

The aim of the event is based on experience and know-how created for the production of the ecosystem in Varna and strengthening cooperation between Bulgarian and Dutch companies. The event was moderated by Ralitsa Zhekova - Executive Director of the Regional Agency for Entrepreneurship and Innovation - Varna.

The focus of the event was smart cities and the participants from the Municipality of Dordrecht presenting their experiences on initiatives related to the topic. Prof. Galina Momcheva presented the activity of ICT Cluster - Varna in the field of "open" smart cities, and Tsvetelina Yordanova from "Shared Workplace - Varna" - the Varna entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Representatives of academic institutions, non-governmental organizations and businesses also attended the event.
